Pink Vintage Rose

This is another craftwork card design that I thought you might like to see.
For this one I started with a 6" square cream easel card from craftwork cards, turned onto its side and folded back on itself to give a different shape.
I covered the card front and the inside with papers from the Shabby Vintage collection in dusky rose.
The square parenthesis shape topper is made from a Kanban white stackables die-cut shape, stamped with a partial image from a Kanban clear stamp. It came in a multi set from QVC a while ago.
I used the same stamp along the inside edge of the card and also around the message tag. The message tag itself was a die-cut from craftwork cards sentiments.
I used just two colours of Ranger distress ink to colour the images, old paper & spun sugar, and also used the old paper ink pad to distress all the card edges and for the soft stamping effect inside the card.

The overall effect is very subtle and muted and I think the card would be suitable for so many different occasions.

Hope you like it :)

Butterfly Blues

I was checking through my photos and came across this easel card which I made a few months ago.
I had treated myself to a few Craftwork Cards goodies and wanted to have a play with them.
The card base is a CWC pre-scored easel card. I love the scallop shape on this one.
From the 'Pocket Full of Patterned Paper' CD I printed two identical sheets of this script paper with a flower border so that I could decoupage the flowers. It was a bit of a labour of love cutting out the tiny leaves but I think it was worth it. I affixed them with silicone glue to enable me to angle them, then added a few different sized clear gems to the flower centres.
The butterfly is cut from the same paper, using a Spellbinders Flights of Fancy die.
The white circle is plain card die cut with an x-cut circle die.
For the sculpted flowers I used a mixture of retro flower die cuts, which I scored to shape the petals, and some more of the printed script paper, die cut with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms dies, rolled up to make the flower centres.
The picture below shows the flowers in a little more detail.
Finally I added a message from the CWC Vintage Kit and used two card candi dots as faux brads.

I love the fresh feel to this card, hope you have enjoyed sharing it with me :)

Tatty Ted Ties the Knot

This is a wedding card that I was asked to make, for a young couple, featuring Tatty Ted. The card itself is a 10" x 7" so a nice big size for a special occasion.
I used the Especially for You CD for the image and for the sentiments, which I printed out onto card and then die cut with an xcut scallop heart and a grand nesties scallop square which I cut twice to reduce the width.  The edges are inked with a wild honey Rangers distress ink pad. The papers are by an American designer from an old QVC scrapbooking kit. I chose the peachy shades to co-ordinate with Tatty's waistcoat.
The image is highlighted with Anitas 3D gloss and a few loose pearl beads from an extra flower embellishment. The heart shaped raindrops are Fiskars.

The wedding was last Friday, so the happy couple will be away on their honeymoon now. Hope they're having better weather than us.
