Christmas Create-a-Card

Christmas card making is getting into full swing now that we're well into the second half of the year and if you're looking for something that looks amazing with minimal effort, you can't go far wrong with these new dies.
The ones I tried were 6x6" and they don't have an outer cutting edge so the design stays inside the card allowing you to vary the size of cards and projects. Brilliant :)
This tent fold design is made from a single strip of card and the centre cut-out section has been mounted inside the card so that it is visible through the aperture. The die design is called Christmas Eve.
Placing the die in the centre of a larger piece of card enables you to build it into a box lid. Lovely for showing a hint of the goodies stored inside. This die is the Christmas Angel.
This wooden heart has been decorated using a section taken from the same Angel die, achieved with a little extra trimming with scissors. The trail of snowflakes has been extended using the 'Snow is Falling' die from the Christmas Classiques collection. The gorgeous poinsettia and ivy fronds are from the same range.

These Fireside die cards show how the panels can be folded to add extra dimension, extending the folds or making pop-outs. Colour has been stencilled through the die itself to highlight the embossed detail.
This is the outside of the pop-out card, embossed and decorated to continue the stonewall design inside the card.

These arched cards are easy to create by leaving a tab at each end of the die-cut section which can then be attached to a smaller back section causing the front to curve. This is a lovely way to create a scene and extra details can be added behind the main image to add interest as you look through.
The die used for these is called O Holy Night and features a more traditional Nativity scene.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing a sneak peek of these new designs. they will be showcased fully when they launch on www.CreateandCraftTV.co.uk on Thursday this week.
There will also be lots more samples for inspiration on the website at www.Crafter'sCompanion.co.uk

Enjoy :) x
